Extreme Exclusivity: The hotel is exceptionally small, with only nine suites. Each suite is individually named (e.g., Petra, Vithos, Afros, Ouranos) and has a completely unique “bohemian-chic” design and layout.
Unique Architecture Built into Nature: This is its most distinctive feature. The suites are built as a “natural extension of the hill” and incorporate the island’s landscape. Several suites feature showers or bathrooms carved directly into the natural rock of the mountain, blending indoor and outdoor living.
Bespoke, Artisanal Design: The design goes beyond typical luxury. Suites are described as having unique, high-end materials like handmade bronze and copper fireplaces, custom-carved four-poster beds, and built-in stone sofas that honor local Kean architecture.
The “Legendary” Sunset Bar: The hotel is positioned on a “hidden hilltop” overlooking the picturesque port of Vourkari, giving it one of the most famous sunset views on the island. The bar is a destination in itself, known for its unique atmosphere that often blends modern DJ sets with live traditional instruments like the violin and percussion.
Personal Family-Run Philosophy: This is reflected in the service, the art (the hotel’s name was inspired by artist Alekos Fasianos), and the food, which includes a homemade Greek Cycladic breakfast served until noon.
“Aigis Philosophy Concept” Gallery: The hotel’s passion for art and culture extends beyond the property to a separate art gallery they operate in a 100-year-old stone building down in the Vourkari marina, connecting the hotel to the local art scene.
