Hotel nhow Marseille

The nhow Marseille France stands out as a distinctly unique hotel due to its bold, disruptive designer concept that directly reflects the city’s contrasting identities, coupled with its spectacular and exclusive beachfront location on the Corniche.

Disruptive & Narrative Design Concept

The nhow brand is known for hotels that embody the local culture with an unconventional, artistic flair. The Marseille hotel’s design, overseen by local architects Claire Fatosme and Christian Lefèvre in collaboration with designer Teresa Sapey, embraces the city’s duality:

The “Canaille” Attitude vs. Provençal Light: The design deliberately expresses the “clash” between the bright, vacation-inspired Provençal coast (represented by light, sea views, and white furniture) and the city’s grittier, rebellious, or “Canaille” side (represented by darker, rugged materials, graffiti-style art, and sudden splashes of color).

Artistic Installations: The hotel is full of unique, locally-inspired artworks and installations:

The Sardine Chandelier: The Sky Bar features an iconic chandelier made of 4,000 stainless steel sardines by British artist Frances Bromley.

Street Art Integration: Corridors and rooms feature vibrant graffiti-style murals and graphic elements inspired by local street artists.

The Water Duality Concept: The design concept is built around the hotel’s location between two bodies of water: the salt water of the Mediterranean Sea and the fresh water from a natural spring that feeds the hotel’s pool and spa, visible in parts of the interior.

Exclusive Location and Views

The hotel’s setting is one of its biggest advantages, offering a premium Mediterranean experience right near the city:

Front Sea Location: It is ingeniously nestled right into the rocky coast on the Corniche Kennedy, giving guests direct, uninterrupted views of the sea, the Calanques, and the famous Château d’If.

Private Balconies and Terraces: Most of the 150 modern guest rooms feature a private balcony or terrace with breathtaking sea views and nothing between the room and the water.

Unique Social and Wellness Spaces

In short, the nhow Marseille is unique because it is a destination where sophisticated, provocative design meets a stunning, exclusive coastal landscape, offering an experience that is both luxurious and authentically Marseillaise.
